An IBCLC stands for International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. IBCLCs are the highest accredited healthcare professional that specialise in Lactation. This is the only internationally recognised qualification for breastfeeding. IBCLC’s are required to have a health science background, hundreds of hours of clinical breastfeeding experience and pass a very extensive exam. Every 5 years, IBCLCs complete a rigorous recertification process to stay up to date with all the latest lactation research.

Yes , I come to you in your home because I feel it is the most helpful to support you in your own environment and with your own equipment.

I travel from Mount Gravatt East. A travel fee applies ($30-50) depending on distance and time spent travelling. You may enquire for more details. 

Yes, but please check with your individual health fund for your rebates. I have provider numbers with BUPA, HCF and Medibank.

I am there to help you with feeding. In the hour before the appointment, please avoid feeding your baby a full feed before I arrive. This way baby ideally should be alert and ready to feed on my arrival.

I can help you with your own equipment so please have all your other feeding equipment ready. Bottles, breast pumps, expressed milk or formula, pillows.
